Reading Test – How Easily Is Your Page Read?

Reading test

They say your mind work the way that you can easily read and understand words where all letters except the first and the last ones are mixed.

Try this:

Aoccdrnig to rseearch, it deosn’t mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae.

This cool web-based tool enables you to read any page this way and see if you comply with this theory.

  • FWIW – I just tried running the thing against my own Web (BigFatDave.com), and had an awful lot of trouble making heads or tails out of anything … and I’m the guy who originally wrote everything πŸ˜‰

I guess my brain doesn’t work so well, eh? (All the fat must be getting in the way, or something … funny, I would’ve expected oil to make it work better … so much for _that_ theory. . .)

On the bright side, I did have an awful lot of fun reading about how my Web is best viewed with “Evils” … LOL. . .

Anyway, I wrote a bit about this experience on my own “blog.” I’m too lazy to make anchors anywhere but the very bottom of the page, though, so your best bet is to go to http://www.bigfatdave.com/blog.php#bottom and just scroll up a paragraph or two from there – assuming you’re bored enough to want to read a programmer’s blog in the first place, that is ;-P

Thanks for giving me a dose of entertainment that turned into some food for thought πŸ™‚

    Take care,
